Get your Doom on

Local publicity firm the Biz 3 (AKA your source for all things undie-rap) drops word that MF DOOM "has signed an exclusive record deal with the fiercely independent heavyweights Rhymesayers Entertainment." This alliance will bear its first fruits Nov. 16, in the form of a full-length called MM...Food.

To hype the disc, Doom has booked eight dates with Brother Ali - the first of them in Chitown, at the Abbey Pub, on Monday, Nov. 15. If that's not enough, you can bid on a chance to have dinner (mmm, food) with him, all proceeds to "local food shelves."

Fair warning to the eventual dinner winner: Make your reservations late.

Finally and on the Biz 3 tip, in September the firm launched a series of monthly parties to take place at Sonotheque. (You may have seen that first bash, starring that loudmouth Gavin somebody-or-other from Vice mag, written up in the Reader.) Anyway, the October party goes down this Friday, 10/8.

Scheduled to spin are a coupla dudes named Aesop Rock and Prefuse 73.

They supposed to be any good?
