I've got a whole city to hold down

Apparently, Mary Mitchell reads Chicagomuzikblog

Or maybe not. But three days after we threw the flag on the Congressional Black Caucus Spouses Organization for its hideously poor taste and clueless political sense in inviting alleged child rapist R. Kelly to headline a benefit concert, Mitchell brought the outrage in a column of her own.

Incredibly, when questioned by Mitchell, the foundation's chair - one Vivian Bishop - feigned ignorance of the charges facing Kelly.

Not so incredibly, Chicago Congressmen Danny Davis and Jesse Junior dodged. Professional opportunist Bamani Obadele grandstanded.

And the truly clueless Bobby Rush, perhaps under the thrall of truth serum, said he sees no evil when there's money to be made.
